WELCOME STAY AND READ AWHILE Parents and students and all other visitors- welcome to this site - written just for you. If you want to be "in the know" please check this site every week or so!!! I will add info as activity in my class changes . Ask your student to show you my class management plan.(it is also on thie site) The year will be better for all of us if the rules and class incentives are kept in mind. One great tool often not used - students should ask to see me in the morning to have work graded early or just to come in for extra help. 8:00 is a good time to come for early help.
KEEP WATCHING
Keep checking this site to see what the 7th graders are doing in the classroom. I have great expectations for each student this year !! Parents please have those same expectations for your child! Parents please feel free to call the school to make contact with me for any questions you might have during the year! Mrs. Kelly
GOAL WAS REACHED - YES!!!!!!! The class goal of $1002.00 was reached, and many many Christmas gifts were purchased through the Change A Child's Project. A huge thanks goes to every single person that donated to help this project. Teachers that allowed a little chaos in the classroom in order to raise money - an extra thanks to you. The entire community of Sandoval can be proud of helping others in such a great way. NOW - Mr. Gold and Mr. Schauer should be sporting a new look the first week of school - I believe some pink heads might be walking the halls!! A day will also be set for Mr. Bookhout to have a delicious pie right in his face - thanks to all three men for helping our class raise money in this way !! Now - benevolence - the key word in the Christmas Carol study - that word should be used just as Scroorge said - in ours hearts all year long - not just at Christmas. 7th graders should certainly have learned that lesson! Keep it up through 2010 !
ISATS - ROCK OUT ON ISAT'S TTThe theme was designed by Josh White and chosen by the class. The class is now rocking out - this entire week. After rocking out, we will go back to a normal schedule without so much extra math practice. Whew - we are all ready I believe to move on!!
POETRY - WHO LIKES POETRY?
Well, we discovered many people - all people- like some type of poetry - even if just in the lyrics of a song. So - now the 7th graders are reading and writing poetry!! Over 40 people are now - POETS !!! Wait a while and some of the poems will be placed right here for all to read!
