SCHOLARSHIPS, ETC
The Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA) is accepting applications from students who have exceptional talent and interest in the areas of math and science. IMSA provides a three-year (grades 10-12) residential college prep program. Illinois residents who have completed the equivalent of 9 years of education and not currently enrolled beyond the 9th grade are invited to apply. There is no cost to the student for tuition. Some fees may be charged. See Mrs. Butler for details.
SENIORS:
If you missed the sign-up deadline to meet with a Kaskaskia College representative here on April 6 to register seniors for the freshman year at KC, it is not too late to register for KC. See Mrs. Butler between now and April 6. You will also need to get a Data Sheet from Mrs. Butler to submit to KC. Don’t forget to include your area of interest.
Also . . . If your ACT score in English was not 18 or higher and/or your ACT score in math was not 23 or higher, it would be wise to take the Compass test (KC’s placement test). If you don’t remember your score, see Mrs. Butler.
In order to take the placement test, you will need to get a college visit form in the main office and make an appointment at KC. See Mrs. Butler immediately if you need help.
If you decide after April 6 to register at KC, the KC phone number is 545-3000. Again, see Mrs. Butler if you need help!
