Supply List - 1st grade

2 vinyl folders

 2 notebooks - 70 pages wide ruled  

24 crayons

glue - 4 sticks and 1 bottle

24 pencils  

   erasers

scissors

antibacterial wet wipes         

 3 boxes of Kleenex

inch/metric ruler   

   PE shoes  

    small school box

headphones for computer 

boys - gallon ziploc bags

girls - sandwhich bags  

 

***Some of these supplies will need to be replenished in 2 months.

****We ask that students do not bring any of the following to school:  large binders or trapper keepers, toys purses, make-up, pencil sharpeners, ink pens, magic markers, colored pencils, paints, sunglasses, baseball caps, sun visors, or jewelry.

 


Rules, Discipline Procedures, and Rewards

RULES
1. Follow directions the first time.
2. Raise hand to talk or get out of seat.
3. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
4. Have supplies at your desk, ready for work.
5. Return classroom materials to their storage place.
6. Be kind to others.

Discipline Procedure
1st offense: Name on the board- warning
2nd offense:  one check by name - 10 minutes away from group
3rd offense: two checks - 20minutes away from group
4th offense: three checks- 30 minutes away from group
5th offense: four checks - notify parents
6th offense: send to Principal

*SEVERE DISRUPTION: SEND TO PRINCIPAL

In cases of severe disruption, fighting, defying the teacher, destruction of property, or in some manner stopping the entire class from functioning, a student will not receive a warning. The principal will be called in for an immediate consequence and parents will be notified.

Reward Procedure
Treasure chest:  Stickers on behavior chart and homework chart.
Marble Jar:  Fill for behavior, homework, and attendance as a class for a party.

Grading Scale

    Each quarter every student will earn a letter grade (A,B,C,D,F) in the following areas:

Reading                    92-100 A
Math                        84-91   B
Spelling                    74-83  C
                                65-73  D
                                0-64    F

 

    Each quarter every student will earn an S+, S, N, I, or U in the following aspects of work and study habits:

Listens to and follows directions            S+ = Mastered Skill
Completes work on time                         S   = Satisfactory
Completes and returns homework            N  = Needs Improvement
Always well prepared                            I   = Improving
Participates in class                              U   = Unsatisfactory
Respects others
Respects authority
Respects school property
Works neatly
Works quietly
Works well independently
Uses time wisely
Shows proper playground behavior
